First Kitchen Purchase.

I have had my head buried in appliance books and web sites lately. Attempting to pick the most reliable kitchen appliance. As many of you know, I really truly enjoy cooking and being in the kitchen. So with that said, this is a very important part of the house. As I am researching the appliances and get down to the last 3 to 4 choices I then let the engineer of the household decide...sometimes I end up starting the research all over and other times a decision is made.

Our decision here is a ge profile induction cooktop stove. And I can't wait to use it. They claim that an induction cooktop is way better than cooking with gas. The temperatures can be decreased so low that a double boiler will not be needed. There is a down side to induction cooktops and that is the pans MUST be stainless steel or cast iron...we have that covered already so no worries there.

And the best part of this cooktop is that Home Depot was re modeling their cooktop display and this one was taken out and on clearance...like half off...with that said, I have now narrowed all of my appliances down and will be shopping Lowes and Home Depot every week to see if "our selected appliance" is on the way out the door for the latest model to replace it.
