Here is what it looks like so far.
The weather man or woman in Maryland sure are striking out this winter. Not too long ago they predicted quite a bit of snow and they were way early and way off on their amount of snow...like we got next to a 1/4 of an inch about 12 hours after the allotted time. So this storm wasn't suppose to hit until late morning...well they must think late morning is 5:00 a.m. We had a ground cover by then and it was still snowing, which can be a hassle if you don't own a four wheel drive vehicle or a all wheel drive one and you are parked at the house. You see, our driveway is very long (about 2/10's of a mile and it is steep right on down to the house). So Bill thought he was ahead of the game and bought chains for this type of occasion, nope nada wasn't going to work and we only had about 1 1/2 inches when we tried the chains. Luckily he was able to hitch a ride from someone just down the road.
The snow stopped during the day and it got up in the high 30's so I was able to bring my van with nice new front tires to the top of the hill, however Bill's wasn't going anywhere (his tires are not the best). Good thing for the trusty ole four wheeler, we towed his van to the top of the hill and now we are plowing the driveway with it.
Currently we are being advised to stay off ALL roads, since we are getting more than 2 inches of snow an hour. We have about 7 inches already, sounds like right after school work is done tomorrow there will be a sledding party...you are all invited...HOWEVER...if you come down the hill in your non-4-wheel drive make sure your bring sleeping bags, pillow and your tooth brush. (psst...it might be handy to bring your drywall and sanding knowledge and depending on how long you plan on staying we might just provide you with a paint brush).
